That thing is a big mess in the boat and bigger pain than it's worth. I did catch a 12" bass on it with it hooked by one hook and the other three were hung in a bush. Moving around the lake you can't have other rods on that side of the deck or they are all tangled up.

Moving around the lake you can't have other rods on that side of the deck or they are all tangled up. After buying an Alabama rig, you still could afford other rods and baits??

I made 3 for around 4 bucks.. out of wisks lol. I use a zip tie that slides up when using and back down to store.

I don't know why this thread cracks me up. I guess because when the a-rig came out I thought man people will be giving these away in a few months.

I'm same way that's why I didn't want to buy any at $25+...
I already had a crimped for making snares so all I needed was some epoxy and the wire. They are real cheap to make.

When I was watching the guy on his boat in the tournament and his rig fell apart 3 times I was rolling on the floor. that's when I knew I didn't want one.

Im with JR...We had one on the floor of the boat last weekend that caught the following, before being put away!
Net, both life jackets, excess clothing and the boat owners finger, twice! While removing it from the net....For the 2nd time!!!

I like the wisk idea..It would be fine until she decides to make scrambled eggs for me...Then I probably wouldnt get breakfast for a long time after that...Lol. I will be eating cereal.lol
