I was enjoying the chat back and forth , then all the sudden nothing. Was wondering if the topic had ended. Did you ever get your Bass Hunter boat club up and going ?

I see, well I have told everyone what I know about a Bass Hunter.
I think we should still have a get together out a Clear Lake when the water warms up.

I was going to get out on Arrowhead on Lewisville but the cost of $10.00 to launch a boat Well I could maybe see that on a full size boat but I don't even need the ramp!

Can they ticket you or something if they catch you launching from other than the boat ramp ?

How are you guys mounting your tranducers for your fish/depth finders? I'm thinking of getting a piece of ridged PVC pipe and see about attaching the transducer to that and then attaching to the Bow Mount of the boat. I'm trying to keep from punching holes in the boat.

I have mine mounted on a bracket that straps to my trolling motor.
I also cut a 2x6 about 10" long and mounted my humming bird to it.
Now I can move it all around the boat.
When I take the boat out of the water the trolling motor and the depth finder are one unit.
I grab the TM in one hand and the Humming bird in the other.

My transducer is also mounted to the bottom of my trolling motor. I zip tied it with heavy duty zip ties. Then zip tied the wire up the shaft. I have a Pelican Raider boat with built in rod holders up front. I mounted my depth finder display to pvc pipe that fits snuggly into the rod holder. When its time to fish I pop in the display and plug in my transducer wire that comes from the trolling motor. I alligator clip the power wires to my trolling motor battery.

Thanks for the info.. i had my tranducer tied to the pole running down the trolling motor. i could never figure out where to mount it till now.. thanks for the tip..
also, i normally just launch my boat from a park.. i just carry it down to the water, park my truck in a normal parking spot, launch from the bank and thats it.. i have never had any issues because technically i am not using the boat ramp.. now wether its right or wrong i dont know but i have never had any problems..
i bought a 8' bass buster, trolling motor, battery, charger, life jacket and seats all for $200 on craigslist.. only problem was i had to drive from frisco to San Angelo. You can find some good deals on the old craigslist.

Well between you and me , I wouldn't consider this being wrong. If your not useing the ramp, your not useing it, so why pay if you don't have to. But then again this isn't to say I'm not thinking about this all wrong either.

Most places seem to have a park useage fee, regardless of using the ramp, so be careful.
