Maybe I missed something in the article, but on what grounds did the BATFE revoke his license?

I'd like to hear a little more background on why they shut him down.

It was stated several months ago the real ploy of fast and furious was to infringe on our gun rights.
It would be nice to have a list of all small gun shops that are being strong armed by the ATF. If they could be consolidated to file a class action suit, maybe the actions of the ATF could be stopped. I am sure a lot of people would donate to it. They might get lucky and find a top notch attorney who would do it pro bono.

This article was very poorly written but I have a hard time doubting its point. I have heard a few similiar stories about ATF goons strong arming shops out of business and it bothers me that it seems to be riding on the coat tails of this gooberment fiasco

Just hung up with the most reliable of sources on this subject. Not specific to Mr. Bossee and the ATF, but specific to dealer's licenses and the ATF strong-arming small gun shops.
The information relayed to me is that the ATF CANNOT take a dealer's license away unless they have hard, irrefutable evidence of a dealer trying to skirt the law, in multiple instances. Clerical errors on paperwork, etc. won't cut it.
Further, he said the way this typically works is LE will get a tip of some funny goings on. They will then set-up surveillance and possibly several transactions for verification. By the time the subject(s) of their investigation are called to the ATF's offices for an interview, the Feds have already made their case.
Now I'm not trying to discredit a dead man and I'm not saying the subject of the above story from the Texican is wrong. Just passing on fact as relayed to me by a trustworthy friend.

Hate to break it to you guys, but the reason the texican article doesn't have any details or specific facts about the case is that its NOT an article. Its a blog. You can get that from it being out of wordpress.com, a blogging website. Its just some guy making his peace over something he heard. I wouldn't take anything from there too seriously. Its like getting all your news from the TFF Off Topic section then never looking at the link to read the story, and get the facts yourself; then you wake up and decide you should write an article about it. I can't find any other sources yet so I'm not going to jump the gun and claim abuse by the gov't.

Elsie and Elmer are from Borden. Abilene had the prettiest Borden's facility. It looked more like a pick stucco mansion than a plant that processed milk and ice cream.

I'd like to hear a little more background on why they shut him down. +1 At the same time, I recognize the tactics of the ATF here. Perhaps they acted as they did knowing full well that the old guy has done nothing wrong AND knowing that he could never afford to fight the legal battle necessary. The ATF could, for the sake of argument, be 100% in the wrong on this case and it wouldn't matter if theres nobody to fight it. Corporations use this strategy routinely in dealing with injury lawsuits and the like.

We've heard nothing other than what was blogged on a gun site.

Allison, I'm giving ATF benefit of doubt on this until more details come out - was only stating one plausible scenario.

I have a hard time being fair to the ATF because I don't think that agency should exist in the first place.
