Is this stuff any good? got some 20lb test to put on my cranking setup for when I go to Falcon next week. It was on clearance at Academy so I figured I could at least give it a shot. I know Sufix usually makes some pretty decent line.

That's all I use on my cranking rods. It's great line, especially if you got it on sale. How much is it marked down? I need to pick up a couple spools.

I know Sufix usually makes some pretty decent line. Never tried the stuff but I was wondering myself. I don't know about your but at this Academy here in Lubbock they have ALOT of line on clearance. It's been looking like they are getting ready for a new shipment for almost 2 months now.....

Yeah they had a bunch at mine too but all of the better stuff has been picked over. You must have gone to the same Academy I went to today.. They were out of a bunch of line. Out of a bunch of fishing stuff period. Power Pro was all gone! I have used the suffix deep cranking line before and it worked just fine for me.

I bought the 10lb stuff...lots of stretch and no where near the strength of big game, but not bad line and very little memory.

Its good for getting a crankbait deeper than using regular mono. Its a little more dense and helps get it down there.

For the price sounds like I might try it. But I swore the stuff off a few years ago when all it did was cinch down in my spool when I set the hook. It was the biggest beat down. I had it on like 7 rods all them did it. It was the regular Suffix when it first came out. Has anyone else experienced this before?

Not sure about it not being strong. I caught a 19 (well 18.14) pound cat on it cranking the 12lb test. I have it on my E5/veritas winch combo and liked it. I ended up going back to a flouro line only because the veritas is too desensitized for my liking and the stretch in the line made it hard to detect cover and softer hitting fish. I'd use it again on a rod thats a little more sensitive. I'd still recommmend it to anyone. I'd say you had a boatful of fish!!! I just bought some at Academy, have not spooled it up, but if it's as good as their other lines I'm sure I'll be happy. Hope they don't have it on sale because they are going to quit making it? As this Academy was only re-opened for about two days when I was in there. It was hit by a tornado last May.

Thanks for clarifying that for me... lol The line is suppose to have some stretch to it and for the record its plenty strong.. I horsed this beast that was hooked by the dorsal fin on 12lb test. Weighed 26lbs , so not sure what you meant by "not strong"???
