Does anyone successfully fish Lake Travis, catfish or crappie? I'm on the lake all the time wit my service business and all I see everywhere are rocky shoreline. I would really like to start fishing this lake since it's my home lake, but I don't know where any of the good areas, if any, are. I willing to take a fishing buddy if you know the lake. I have a boat dry slipped at Emerald Point and can be in the water with a phone call. I can also have it on a trailer with a call, but Travis is my first choice.

Have you heard of vinces boat dock? Fishing is great out there for cats and crappie. At night when traveling the lake, take note of any lighted boat dock, mostlikely will have fish under it. If it's windy, find a cove that the wind blows directly into, post up there, chances are the cove will hold schools of shad wich attract big fish. Or just drift fish by each ridge and boat dock.

She got plenty of water, est. 30ft deep straight down. Im not sure how deep the channel is but when castin out it take a good couple seconds to hit bottom. Its just a little longer walk down the hill than normal. Even with the low water level, the fish still bite out there. Shad are easily caught near the bottom with the smaller mesh size(i think 1/16" or 1/3"). bfs- do you know what dock im talking about?
