goin for cats and carp maybe buffalo and i'm going to try and get a few flatheads too i think i'm gonna use baby bullheads for the flatheads anybody think this is a good idea

you could use bullhead but i think it is illegal and if it is i suggest to use hand size bluegills for bait or nice size live shad for bait

lol bullheads are not a game fish it is legal if i were to use a game fish such as a crappie that is illegal bullheads are considered trash fish anyways but in my experience they tend to be really tastey, sometimes if u know how to clean them properly which i do they taste better then channel cat, and all u gotta do is soal them in salty water and rinse them a few times this gets all the blood and other stuff out of the meat

It's legal I do it a lot in the summer just cut the top and side fins off with pliers and tail hook them. they are very hardy

I think water temps are a lil low to target the flats. Give it a try though... you might hang one or even a trophy blue

Do you have much experience on Roberts, ie know the good spots, etc? I've never fished there. I fish mostly lewisville, but I'd like to give it a try sometime. I'm planning a trip for tonite on the old dam in lake dallas, but maybe next weekend I'd try Roberts. I just got back from Fishermans Supply with some big shad and live perch, so hopefully tonite will be a success.

i didnt get skunked got 1 sandbass 1 crappie 2 undersized channels and a buffalo about 10lbs all caught on either a night crawler or minnow nothing else would work

oh and a 3 pound carp
