I got the garden plowed this morning and the fertilizer disced in. Now, it can rain.Already have my onion sets bought and will get them in next if we don't get too much rain where I can disc it one more time.

Who else has started their garden and what all have you gotten done?

You can plan on lots of rain.

Reason: I decided not to sprig around 8 acres out at my farm. Also passed on fertilizer. It doesn't do much good if there is not enough rain for the grass to grow.

Thats about right. I know we need lots of rain still, but if I could get it to hold off a week it would be good. I aerated the giant bermuda pasture a few days ago. It should come along nicely this year should we get any rain.

I was talking to a horse guy yesterday.

Small squares of horse hay are upwards of $14.00.

Nuts ain't it. Luckily the Sudan did just enough last year so we have had enough for the cows.

I have actually given some thought to going out and disking in some winter rye.... if it takes, and it probably would, someone will buy it. I don't like it, but it's better than nothing.

I so miss being out in farm country. There was corn, wheat and soy beans as far as the eye could see back home...
