I gotta go over there for a soccer game after work. So...
#1) Is there any good suggestions for places to eat there?
#2) Is there a better way to get there at rush hour from Dallas than by taking 20?

This I am hoping because #1 we need it and #2 it is a skrimage so if they don't play it won't be made up, and that is a haul from where I work and live.

Guess it is a matter of opinion. Any suggestions on what to get? Ribs, brisket, pork...?

Railhead was okay... not great, not BAD exactly, but just about any joint in central Texas will beat them.
Used to go there for lunch when I worked at Flush.net

I usually have either ribs and/or brisket, always been good. Especially after playing split-rail then going over there for BBQ and a cold one.

I will try and get that in. We need to be at the high school by 7:30 I think. So I was trying to get something real close, cause I am coming from Dallas, MRS BMJ is coming from Irving, and the rest of the family is coming from Roanoke...

So I was trying to get something real close, cause I am coming from Dallas, MRS BMJ is coming from Irving, and the rest of the family is coming from Roanoke... Aledo is only about 15 minutes or so from Pops Burgers in Benbrook. Where 20 splits off of 820 is the edge of the metromess, where ranches and cattle begin and traffic ends. If your looking for something more mainstream there are several restaurants and Academy at 20 and Bryant Irvin on the edge of Forth Worth and Benbrook. Black Eyed Pea, Taste of Asia, Outback, Genghis Gill, Cousins BBQ, Fuddruckers, and a few more that I am forgetting.
