What law did they break? Using a cast net for bait is legal every now and then gamefish will come up in the net. Guides do it all the time they just release the fish as per the law. Nothing in the video is against the law.

I see no problem with anything in his video. Just friends out having fun. As far as running the bridge, cmon. He's in a flatbottom. Seen plenty of big boats run bridges on many lakes. The intro was funny.........

It may have "looked" like he kept that catfish, but we can't tell from the video. Personally, I'm thinking he just set it on the floor of the boat while he was getting the carp out of the net for the CPR. Who knows?

If you watch some of their other videos, it's pretty obvious these guys are novice anglers. Casting technique and reeling fish all the way to the rod tip are sure cues. So it is possible that they are ignorant of the law related to cast nets and game fish, but just can't tell from the video,.

i can understand castnetting, for bait but i dont recall seeing any bait in the net but i could have missed it. usually your throwing at bait movement when your doing that. you have to get very lucky i think to cast around 7 lb plus bass. but i guess if its common on conroe as suggested by the forum member i guess it could be just plain luck. again no law broken if fish were returned. i was just wondering if the bass could have been on the bed.

Quit whining. Not that big of a deal if they returned the fish. If they didn't, oh well they will get caught one day.
