I'd be curious to know historically how much of our state is in somewhat of a drought at all times.
We've definitely had some good fortune though in our area.

JW- I would probably guess out west probably deals with some sort of drought almost every year?

We could use some more her in Deep East Texas. Lake Nacogdoches is still several feet low.

Here is a link to 191 major reservoirs water level information. We still need major rain fall to bring these lakes up to full pool. link

Rainin' like a cow peein' om a flat rock here right now. Where about's and how much, I'm supposed to come down and till the MIL garden on Sunday! Couldn't do it last weekend it was too wet, was going to try again this weekend. BTW, she lives in Lindale!
