I'm in the North Dallas area. Looking for a good bass fishing club. I don't have a boat currently but I'm a great back seat guy!!! I have all my own stuff. Just recently bought a new Revo STX. I'd like to fish some bass tournaments in and around the area. I'm really looking to hone my bass skills. I fish with my buddy a lot from his boat but he doesn't seem too interested in tournaments. If anyone has any advice or anything plz let me know. I'm looking to fish my first bassmaster open within 5 yrs

There are some clubs around that fish draw tournaments, that might be your best bet. I am a member of the Irving Christian Anglers and our first meeting of the year is next week. We have draw tourneys but I am not sure what our current boater / nonboater ratio is right now. New members are always welcome but we try to keep a balance of boater to non boaters.

You might look around the bass clubs section.

Another idea is the BASS Weekend Series, they fish draw tournaments, and have a great bunch of boaters to get drawn with.
