Says who?

While that may in fact be his opinion on the matter, who are you to judge him and make statements like that about and for him?

He's a big boy, he can have a few drinks if he wants. Only he knows whether he can handle that or not.

Bill you are a good guy but quit showing your utter ignorance of this disease.

There are a lot of people like me who cannot stand the taste of cilantro. It tastes like nasty soap water. People who are alcoholics and/or have an addictive personality cannot touch one drink of alcohol. An alcoholic who has been clean and sober for ten years goes right back to where he was when he quit ten years ago.

I don't know whether he's an alcoholic or not. All I'm saying is that it is up to him to decide what he can and cannot do, not us.

Bill is right.

Josh is an adult and is fully aware of the consequences of his drinking and drugging. If he wants flush his life down the toilet, nobody has the right to stop him.

I think he'll be OK, for me I know that when I have done it, your mindset right before you take that first drink is F*@K IT! And with that mindset you fall off big time and go on a bender.

If he really called it quits after 3 or 4 maybe he said to himself "what the h3ll am I doing?" That is a good thing and shows he is recovering and had a setback.

I agree it is up to him or any other alcoholic/drug addict to decide whether or not to drink. No one but the addict himself can make him/her stop.

An addict who tries to fool themselves into thinking they can continue to drink and control their drinking is fooling no one but themselves. There is a popular song out with the lyrics, "one is one too many and a thousand is never enough" is true for alcoholics. All their loved ones and friends can do is pray a lot and make sure they do not enable them.

If you know someone who is fighting an addiction problem, please do not ask them if they want an alcoholic beverage. You are not their friend if you do. After a period of time, you will be able to enjoy a beverage in their presence. I just would not do it when they are in the initial stage of trying to stop.

He picked a great time for the Rangers to pull a stunt like this. The price of signing him probably just dropped significantly. Hello win column.

According the local 8 news, he drank 3 or 4 drinks and was with teammate Ian Kinsler. They also said this was not a violation of the MLB drug rules.

As far as his addiction, he knows what he did was wrong. I hope this allows him to refocus on his error.

Exactly what I'm saying,he knows he can't be "normal" and have just a few, he was ready to go off on a bender. He didn't, he realized he screwed up and will be stronger for it.
