Guide Recommendation for Lake Okeechobee FL?!

Guys I am heading to Lake Okeechobee next weekend during the FLW tour and fishing Friday. After a few recent bad guide trip experiences I wanted to ask users on here if they might know anyone they can recommend out there? I have a guide booked as of 2 months ago but getting cold feet after my call to him today resulted in him not remembering who I was and some very detailed conversation we had. Anyway I dont want another dink fest and hoping someone might know a guy. I don't want a good angler, I want a good guide who knows how to make his client's day truly memorable. Personality, Experience and Results please! I want this to be a trip to remember and I'm talking my Dad with me. Thank You Texas Folks!

You can call Roland Martins marina and find out Im sure.
Just make sure and check some of those guides are live bait only and some fish both.

Anyway I did call Roland Martin's Marina months ago but the phone call felt very transactional and impersonal. Not exactly what I'm looking for.

While you are there try to take your dad to one of those Catfish and Hushpuppy restaurants down there. I lived in Fla and fished that place in the 60's with my brother and always remember the Catfish dinners after a long day of fishing.

Yikes, sorry I meant Red Skeeter! So used to seeing RedRanger posts every day I looked at the name quick. Too bad the FLAFishingForum has hardly any activity. Haha. Nothing beats Texas!

Why don't you use your knowledge of that ol green fish and locate them yourself. That is the way I do it and is the only way I enjoy it.

Let me know how you do. I'll be down there this summer on my honeymoon. Tricked my wife into fishing one day on Lake O. It was that or feed alligators in the Everglades.
