Havent been this season after the water came up if u know where to find them it should be pretty good once the water clears. Try minnows by the breakwall by the dam.

Prior to the rain they were catching em off the wall by the dam but mostly dinks with a few keepers. Those in the know were catching good numbers of keepers off brush piles prior to the rain but unfortunately I aint one of those in the know.

I managed to take a number of photos/marked GPS on some spots when the lake was 12' down that should be good when the spawn kicks off in full gear. Went over to the dam yesterday afternoon in hopes the kittens had moved back in but no such luck crappie or cats.

Anybody got anything good yet? I'm going to Proctor Sunday and know the lake fairly well, but wondering if there is any hot spots? Love any kind of advice.

If your going to fish the breakwall bring some waders; water was up to the seat on the bench they have there last Sunday. There were half a dozen people there fishing for crappie but not catching. I was fishing for wisker kitty's and didn't do any better than them; not one bite in 4 hours. I did manage to ease over to the pier at Copperas Creek Tuesday after work and do some jigging for crappie, didn't catch any crappie but caught 8 nice whites in about thirty minutes then it just stopped. Went over again Thursday prior to the front and didn't get a nibble. Water is plenty muddy.

Just got back from Proctor and even though it was a beautiful day. Not a lot of action yet. I tried severally different places and only produced 2 sandies. The shad are still at about 18 foot of water so that is why it's so slow. Just another week or so and hopefully it will get better.
