i currently own some okuma abf65 and they are way to bulky, heavy etc. my rod and reel set up does not feel "balanced" well enough so my question is what are some other reels with the bait feeder option that are good for around the same price(60). or how do the 30-40-50series abf feel thank you everyone in advance

I have 4 okuma reels. and they are all different sizes. I dont mind the bulkiness though. I even have a 90 that is pretty sweet

Chad's question is valid; I have a couple of 3.5 tc rods and the Daiwa 5500 series feels great with them but would feel too bulky on my 2.75 tc rods, on which my Tica 45 series feel great.
I think the 40 or 50 series would be significantly smaller and feel less bulky.

I love the Daiwa 4000 BRi models. They are affordable and work great. I have caught many big fish on them any they have never let me down.

I would suggest the Daiwia BRI plus. One of the sizes should fit your need....

I have 3 of the Okuma 50s and really like them. Match up well on my Soniks or my 9 foot Cabelas rods.

I have 3 of the Okuma 50s and really like them. Match up well on my Soniks or my 9 foot Cabelas rods. My 8 year old Okuma Epixor won't fit on my Sonik rods reel seats. Makes me wonder if any current reels (shimano d, okuma, etc) will fit on a Sonik SK3 or Sonik SK4. I guess I need to find out soon. I am thinking of getting 3 more Sonik rods and 3 Shimano reels.

My Epixors are about 2 years old and I put them on Sonik SK4s without any problems. No doubt they changed the designs.

its not that they wont fit, its the clamps are a tad smaller, my daiwa reels fit very tight onto my sk4's. my shimanos were the same way, my shimano 3500b it fits the same way.

The reel foot on my Okuma Eb65 is over an 1/8" from fitting on the seat. No way to fit it. My daiwai's fit is nice and snug. I am guessing they made the foot slimmer in the last 8 years.
Not a big deal in this situation. But I would hate to buy three new reels and three new rods and things did not work out. Curt's post made me think of this... Anyone have Shimano D 6000's with Soniks rods?

SoCal, here is where I have ordered several reels, okumas and daiwa. Here are some regal plus reels. I have some of the 4500s and have never had any issues with them. http://www.midwesthuntersoutlet.com/Search.aspx?SS=daiwa+regal+plus

Cristian I have a pile of okumas 4-abf 50's , 1-abf90 and 2 cheaper finchaser size 65 I believe.I love the abf feature but for 15lb big game mono I think the six 65 is ideal. Here is the weight stats.abf 50 17.3oz.abf 90 and 65 27.4 ounces give or take a tenth of an ounce they are about the same.I think the spool diameter is more important than weight. The 65 size spoool seems to be a sweet spot for 15lb mono.Although I currently use powerpro braid, mono is really the most fish friendly because the stretch creates less damage to the hook area in the mouth. The stretch tears the flesh less when the fish fights. The extra weight is no biggie when you cast once or twice an hour unlike bass fishing where constant casting with heavy gear wears you out, plus the 65 size has faster retrieve than size 50's.If those were my reals I would use them and put my line in the water.3 pieces of corn of your choice with method mix of your choice and go to decker or LBL where there is great chance of new PB. WCC at I35 bridge saturday with people to help you net!

I use rod bag to carry 5 pack of okumas on 11' and 12' rods.Method feeders still attached. 2 pods with 2 rods each a bankstick 5 alarms, a 16' handle for 42" landing net- both in side pckets of rod bag.The size 50 okumas save a lot of space and several pounds of weight. For less clutter though I usuallly carry my pods alarms landing mat scales camera and other stuff in a second bag.
