But I do want to know if there is a nearby campground or lodging. This lake is just outside of the drive I want to make early am to fish a club tournament even though I voted for it.

There is a campground in Winnsboro as well as a roach motel. Look up Winnsboro on the Internet and call the COC. If neither of those are an option there is a new hotel in Mt Vernon about 20 minutes away from the lake. Or you can stay at Fork and ride over which is about the same drive. If you just need a place to put a tent and do t need water or electricity, you can camp at the lake and I think it's free but I won't promise a snaggle tooth won't visit you in the middle of the night.

Mt pleasant aint no better, a lady of the truck stop night came thru the parkin lot at a motel and my "Buddies" told i to sit in my pickup and wait on me. There was no tooth in that head. WOW do I miss her!!
