Thanks fella's. I feel real fortunate to have been lucky enough to catch them. Even better knowing they're still there to get even bigger! Txwhitacre, affirmative.

No, it didn't swallow it. I didn't let it run long at all before coming tight. It was hooked just inside the upper jaw. In fact, it popped right out when I got ready to release it. I likely would've lost it had it got slack during the fight. It gave a good account of itself. Ran up and down the pool several times pulling drag at will. I didn't get too wound up until I saw the size of the wake it made when it finally got near the surface. Then I knew I had a big one and I was just hoping everything held on. It surprised me as I worked it in close by violently shaking it's head. It would really thump several times in quick succession, then make a short dash in it's last few tries at freedom. I'm still in awe of the quality of fish the Brazos supports. It's truly an amazing fishery. Almost as thrilling as hooking, fighting, and landing such a fish is watching them swim off to hopefully get bigger and thrill the next angler!
