Check this video out for another option to protect your cell phone.
This is way cool too, but it only protect against water damage. The Lifeproof case is more for me since I'm so clumsy with my cell phone. When I got my iPhone 4S, within a month I dropped it 5 times and gave all 4 corners little chips then I wised up & finally got the Otter Box.

I saw a unit at Academy last night that you attach it to your keys. If they go under the water it expands and floats the keys up. Kinda like a expandable PDF.

If you want to get more choices, try to search on ebay or dx.

That device is attached to a lot of my gear. It costs $7 and has saved me a lot more than that. When it inflates it is obvious it is just an international orange 16" long condom with an alka-seltzer in it that inflates it when wetted. I decided to build some of my own but the materials shopping did not go well. I don't think I am welcome back at CVS anymore.

I was on the Brazos with Dan, and when we got to striper alley towards the end of the day, I realized my camera was gone. It was worse because we had some good CPR pics from earlier in the day. So I cut short the end of the trip and told Dan I'd meet him back at Hwy 16. I was going to backtrack and do a thorough search of the river in the hopes of finding my camera (which was waterproof).

I looked everywhere as I made may way back to the bridge, but didn't find it. The search was hampered by the blueish grass that grows there during certain parts of the year. So I backed up the truck and started to break down my gear, still very disappointed that I'd lost my camera. I was just about finished packing my gear and yak into the truck when Dan showed up.

He holds something up and says, "Look what I found." He had my camera, which he spotted in the rapids near Flint Bend. The camera had been in the river for a couple of hours, but it worked fine. I still have the camera, but now I use a float.

You need to invest in one of these in case it goes over. Just hook it through one of those little holes on the bottom.
