I was by there last Thursday. There were 4 gates open and no one there. I haven't fished it, but I think it is a little too early yet.

Well, there is nothing biting at the dam. Tried shad, shrimp and plastics and nothing. Talk to some others out there and they had the same report. Going to give it a month or so and see if anything changes.

How much is the permit to fish there. I know you have to get it from Browders.

Last time I was there it was $8 to get in and launch...more for each extra person in the vehicle.

12 gates open you want to be careful out there. It is a very unforgiving environment. When the flow gets this high often there will be a standing wave that can be pretty uncomfortable.

IMO its better to wait until the flows get down to 10,000 and below.

I think its down to 7 gates now, looking good. I'm going to try for crappie next week if the water goes down a little bit more
