you might offer to hold his stones. <- inside joke

NO COMPLAINTS HERE!

Think he's smiling alittle just from being in the yak!

Even these guys didnt mind the ride

Very nice kayak, Tracks well, never felt unstable in it and its a dry ride compared to the castaway. I may be out this weekend and if you like you could try it out.

I love my Pescador. If you want a cheap sweet ride, it's hard to beat.

Nice fish Chess. Has anyone had success in standing and fishing in a Pescador?

I really like mine. I picked it over an Ocean Kayak Trident 12 due to the lower price. I've stood up in it, but I don't particularly like to.

I've stood and fished successfully, but not at the same time.

It's the wrong color though. No, it looks pretty sweet. Add a seat and you're on your way.

One of the things about the Pescador that I wasn't crazy about was the seat it came with ... If I was buying a SOT yak in that price range right now, I would definitely consider that West Marine setup.

I like mine

Jan 7 2012 by Texas big redneck, on Flickr
The only thing that I have found is the seat. I am 150 pounds and by the end of the day my tail bone is killing me. The wife picked me up a seat cushion at Wally world it has made it better. I will get a better seat bottom by spring.

So I've read some reports that a heavy guy will get wet in one. I weigh about 235. Anyone out there in that weight range? Any problem with the scupper holes letting in water? Does putting in plugs help?

I'm planning to get one as soon as the IRS payment comes through.

It is a wet ride, and the scupper plugs work well. I don't mind it because when catching a few fish or some mud from the shoes it self cleans. My rear stays dry on most trips. Mountain sports carries them, maybe ask to test drive one.

I weigh 240 lbs and I had to plug the scupper holes under the seat. The only water then comes off the paddle but not enough to cry about.

Thanks Linecaster!

Did you use nerf balls or an actual plug? The ones on Perfection's web site look kinda cheesy and my Academy only carries ones from Ocean Kayak... in two sizes.

I've been using nerf balls from Academy. If you leave them in there for long periods of time they kind of lose their shape, but so far they still work pretty good. I poked a hole through them and tied a string on them so that I can pull them out easily.
