Need some info on the less tournament speed spool ($199) ,the quantum smoke 150 and the quantum exo. Ive never held the exo or the smole 150 only the lews and the smoke 100. How does the 150 smoke compare to say a green curado 200. Is the exo worth the extra $30? Any help guys is appreciated

The only cool thing about the Exo, was when Quantum ran one over with a 3/4 ton pick up to test the strength of the frame. It was on Youtube and I am sure it still is. And comparing a Smoke to an old greenie isn't a fair comparison. The Smoke is a great reel, though. I fish Quantums and notice they are very touchy when it comes to making lure adjustments. Once you have them set for a lure, it is a bit of a pain when you switch on the fly and throw it again. I've only gotten to hold Lews reels, but they just don't have that "feel" to me. They definately don't feel worth $200.

The exo are super light and cast and operate very smoothly. My good friend bought one and I got to mess with it a lil bit. He also has a smoke that he likes alot too. I cant comment on the Lews though as I have never held one or known of anyone that uses them. Have heard good things about them though.

I didn't say compare them to an old greenies performance wise I said size wise. A diawa sits higher on a reel seat then a shimano does. That's what I was getting at.

I have a Lews tourney pro, smoke 100 and 150. The sides on the 150 are taller but not uncomfortable and it sits in the seat pretty much just like the 100. Personally, I like the 150 size better. And It is smaller than the curado b. The lews is also a good reel. The feel is very similar to a Revo height wise, but is more narrow.

The tournament Pro is the way to go between these three,,IMHO
We've had 3 of our 4 smoke's go bad after about a year and a half.
And you have way more cast control with the Lews
were using 7 Lews right now ,, so far so good, with 1 being a year old
YMMV

ive got a couple smokes and a 150's and 100's, and 2 exos. i love them all. they are very smooth and cast well, a little touchy on the settings but i like that in my opinion. as far as compared to lews, ive only held them and havent used them but they seem to be no where near the quantums

Lew's are excellent, even their lower price point reels. My next reels will be Lew's.

I bought the lews that was around 157$ about a month ago. So far it is really smooth and cast really good. I primarily use curados and though the lews is a great reel for the price it's not a curado!

Something to think about in the future, customer service & can you get parts for them.
