Save that template and apply it to lighter or darker specimens. Offer an accurate depiction of color-phase unique to each of your target markets, expand or reduce the non-traditional markings, ensure lifelike fins and gills and let them come to you. And before anyone brings it up, Clayton and Jason Pierce at Lake Fork Taxidermy are and always will be my fish taxidermists and friends. They're the best in the state and country, IMO. This gent at fishscales is a close friend of a VERY close friend of mine and, as he refines his paint, is rapidly becoming one of the very best bass replica artists in the country.
