Doug, just havin a blast with ya and this post, I am sure your Cat is one sharp lookin boat as all Cats are. Don't know just how fast my Legend is because it isn't out of the break in period yet, but one of these days hahaha...

Navionics is your friend. Change the shaded depth settings and you wont run your boat aground.

I was wondering how the boat sank when he ran it up on a sand bar?

He was coming in late in the evening when a squall was approaching and the wind got up. Waves got big and one picked him up and deposited him on a sandbar, swamped the engine and the boat sunk in about 2-3 minutes. I believe the top cap separated from the hull, as well.

Well it was pretty easy considering the water on each side of the sand bar was about 3' deep.
