I've been wondering the same thing. Would like to hear some feedback on these.

I'm pretty sure they are the same as the ASR series, but just feature micro guides.

Not the same as ASR. There is no more American Allstar. K2/Shakespear licensed the name to Academy and they are impoting a rod from China.
Sad to see a good American made rod company disappear but the company that owned All Star doesn't want to do anything but import and doesn't want to own any manufacturing plants with the overhead cost.

All of the ASR series rods I've ever seen were made in China...

Does anyone have any info on these new all-star ASMicro rods? When will academy have them in stock? Price?

I saw where Chris Lane used these rods exclusively in his win in the first open this year.

Well, I emailed academy about the ASMicro rods. They responded in 15 minutes! She said they have no set date for getting the new rods in stock, but they are expecting them sometime mid to late February. She also said that they are currently priced at $129. That's $30 more than the ASR.
