I live in Fort Worth and I'm thinking about making a trip to LBJ (near DeCatur) with my son. We may fish and hike for two days and camp one night. Can anyone recommend a decent area to camp and wet a hook?

All help is appreciated. Want to get up there in early spring.

Black Creek lake, Clear Lake and Cottonwood lake. All are pretty decent

Clear lake is really nice. I had the most luck in the timber with bass. I also noticed a lot of smaller bait fish and perch all around the cement boat ramp.

Have you seen any carp in any of the lakes at the grasslands?
