I saw a topic about this but was old, so I wanted to ask anyone been there since drought then rain and caught anything? And if so what you use? I've lived here 18 years but never thought about giving it try. Thanks ahead of time!

I think about this as I cross that creek on 35W every day on my way home from work. Gonna stop one of these days.

The drought didn't really affect it. It stays about the same all year. Now is the time to fish it because in the summer it gets choked out with algae and moss. I've seen mailbox sized Bass, too many undersized Crappie and a very nice Channel cat population. There's big fish in there. I'll start fishing it myself, soon, again.

And what do you use? I was thinking minnows.

minnows might be good but lures would probably work better.

Minnows under a slip bobber. You'll have to locate them though, that's the hard part.

Last spring, I caught about 100 sunfish in an afternoon. On red wigglers.

Can you eat any of the fish caught out of there?

I don't see why not. The only thing that I would be concerned about is runoff from the roads when it rains.

I was not sure with the new parking dock they put in there but you google map it, there doesn't appear to have any major around it to really polute it. I will try this weekend. Hopfully
