Can any of you guys offer a product that I can do myself? I just hate paying those lawn treatment guys 500 dollars a year.

That's lack of a fall pre,spring pre is geared more towards preventing crabgrass spurge foxtails ect.if your using a quality pre like Dimension you can prevent dallisgrass.That's all I have to say bout that box of chocolates.

I've had good luck with Green Light. Sometimes Lowe's or HDepot carry it sometimes not. If not then you haved to go to Calloways.

I have always used Scotts products with good results. They tend to be a little more expensive than some, but seem to be effective.

I have found that even a amateur attempt at weed and feed is better than companies like Evergreen. I believe they verge on being a scam and are just not any more effective than what you can accomplish on your own with a small effort.

Vigoro makes some good pre-emergents also. Its cheaper than Scotts and works just as well. I've been using it for about 4 years now with no complaints.
