Picked up a heavy falcon microguide rod today at cabelas and I'm digging the fact that its made in the US and feels pretty good. Comparing it to a duckett that they have there, then I see it. Its a telescopic model bang . For a flipping style rod that is supposed to be super sensitive why cut the blank and make it a 2 piece?

I have a telescopic falcon flipping rod. It is very sensitive. I flip and pitch with it and a 1 piece Falcon cara Amistad and the flipping stick is just as sensitive. One of my favorite rods.

I had am American rodsmiths teloscopic it was a 7' 6" extra heavy I absolutely loved it. I think they are made that way for storage purposes. Either way they are just as sensative and once extended won't move. I used mine for frogs and punching grass.

I've got a 7'10" Cara XH that's telescoping and it is plenty sensitive when extended and ridiculously sturdy.
