Lake Arlington 1-30-12
Done some drifting from 8' to 25' for a couple hours not one bite on cut bait and stinky bait. Then I went into the creek, the water is a little clearer. I hit almost every structure I could see not one bite. I must hae changed colors every 30 to 45 min. Heck mabey I did not work them hard enough since I only lost one jig! The water has cooled some 52 degrees at the surface. O well better luck next time.

you drifted for cats and then went crappie fishing?

Yep the wind really picked up after lunch and my drift was doing pretty well. I got tierd of fighting the paddle back. I would drift for about 500 yards then try again in a different dept.

Sorry about no fish, the water looked a little muddy is that normal for this lake? Would like to have that Coke box.

The drift bag/sock worked great, it was the first time I used one. I use to use 5 gallon buckets but to much a pain to carry around. The open lake was pretty muddy, it just has not cleared up from the rain. Few more days with no rain and she will be all cleared up.
Good luck trying to dig that box out that thing is in there good.
