Is greatness for a snack. I think I'll have another before dinner.

I buy a stack of those 76 cent banquet pies for snacks now and then. I nuke them for 3 1/2 min, then brown the top in a 400 degree oven. They make a nice appetizer for Tex-Mex later....and yeah, I'll take my cholesterol meds tonight.

The new fagled ones that brown when you nuke them brought the chicken pot pie back into my life. Who has time to heat up an oven then wait half an hour for it to cook? But they have a helluva lot of calories and sodium.
With that said I think I will make myself the 2nd best between meals snack. Cheese Toast. The best is to melt cheddar cheese in a nonstick skillet until it browns. Then flip it and brown up the other side. then let it cool slightly on a plate Almost all of the fat is left in the skillet and the crunchy "Cheese Chip" is awesome like the browned up cheese on top of a casserole only better.

One of my favorite foods. Even the Banquet ones are pretty good. I usually nuke them for a little longer than it says, since I like them a little drier. Note: Don't get the beef pot pies, and the turkey ones aren't too great either.

Nut That's a pretty decent meal! I'd be happy having that for dinner tonight, if I had any Reese's cups.

I found... but haven't been able to find . I had found a recipe for a homemade chicken pot pie and made it...However, I'm not sure if I found it online (if so, it's not on the website I usually find recipes) or in of one of my old cookbooks. For some reason, I'm thinking it came from one of the White Trash Cooking series of cookbooks, but that particular book is at the other house. So I haven't been able to find that recipe since the first time I made it.

Nasty. I had a roommate that ate those back in the college days almost everyday. Can not stand the smell of one.

In the sixties they were whats for dinner!! I remember them well and they were fantastic for dinner. I need to get my DIL's recipe. She had made one last week and I heated a small slice for lunch in the oven. It was very good.

Great, we have to wait until you visit all 17 houses in your portfolio til we get an answer? Have one of your staff post up the recipe.

No it's not. And there's a premium to be paid for convenience. Just saw everybody griping and moaning about how they can't find their dang recipe.

That's the site I usually use, but after going through 13 pages, I knew I had not gotten the recipe I last used from that site. I'm 99% sure it was in the White Trash Cooking cookbook.
