What's the scoop on amistad right now? Been fishing for a few days and I guess I'm not doing something right! Anyone got some pointers? Shoot me a message if you want!

I have heard from numerous guys on here and other forums that it is fishing REALLY tough. Been a few week since I have talked to the Amistad man, but he wasnt on em then and if he or Kurt Dove aint on em....nobody is. Give them both a call and talk to them....might be worth a half day if they arent booked to get ya on the right pattern.

Manchu is right. Head up that river to Zuber Bend. Find the clearest water you can find in the backs of the creeks and fish slow. If you can find any trash piled up they will be under and on the edge of it. Look for the cane blown up against the banks and in short pockets. I have also caught some on small spinnerbaits in the back of the pockets that have lots of rock. Pitch and flip every piece of hardwood 3 and 4 times before moving to the next one using a TX. rig lizard.
