Who is the greatest country singer ever. My vote would be for King George Strait.

Not much of a country fan, but I'd say the best voice is Ronnie Dunn.

Yep... nobody else even close. Lost Highway is the best C&W song ever.

I luv me some Hank Jr. and Sr. as well as Johnny, Willie, Kris, Waylon, George Jones, Randy Travis, and Garth but in my opinion no one comes close to George Strait.

bob played fiddle & Mandolin and was bandleader/songwriter but Tommy Duncan sang on most of the songs till 1948 when Bob was drunk & fired him, the Texas Playboys went downhill after that

call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

Hank Williams changed all of music not just country. You can here his stuff in all of rock and roll and pop and jazz. I'm not sure that made him the greatest but it should help.

Johnny Cash should also be considered as well as Merle Haggard and no doubt George Strait set a lot of records.

There are just too many to choose just one. Johnny Cash, Waylon, Willie, but I have to say Dolly Parton tops my list. Not only is she a very talented singer, but she has written over 3,000 songs.
