depends on the wind!!! lately i been at the west boat ramp!!! i think i seen that yellow boat flying by me before, a few weekends ago!!! i am in the black coveralls with the cammo jacket!! on the bank!!!

Sam,what kind of hooks are you using? I started using 7/0 circle hooks and having a hell of a time getting use to em. After years of fishing for bass I still try to set the hook hard if I'm holding the rod. Learned it's best to have 6-8 rods out so your not holding them and they can set themselves.
i am using the 8/0 and 9/0 team catfish double action hooks!!! circle hooks you wanna let hook them selves!!! if you try to set the hook it will come out!!! the team catfish double action hooks acts like both a circle hook and a khale hook!! you can either let the fish swim away with the bait and set it self or you can give it a SLOW sweep upwards and set the hook!! you dont wanna cross his eyes when setting the hook!! SOOOOO glad i switched to the circle hooks!!
sounds like it would be easier to do with more rods so like you said your not sitting holding it!

I'll give you a call in a week or two depending on wind and temp. Went out today about 4:00 and couldn't catch any bait. the wind was too much. The bait looked balled up on both graphs. I hope we don't have a rendition of most of the first half of last year with the wind blowing like hell evey day.

if you like holding one rod while fishing, you can always use a regular J hook on that rod. then you can cross eyes to your hearts content.

no fish left in arrowhead i caught em all today lol caught close to 100 out on arrowhead today some good'ens caught too
Wow! I have had some pretty good days, or what I thought were pretty good on arrowhead, but not anywhere near 100 fish. About half that. Is that on set lines or r&r? Deep or shallow?
