Cold muddy water is the hardest to fish productively. No biggie, give it a week and start over. Don't retain anything you did today, the conditions were not conducive!

Where/what depth were you fishing?

Fished in Chaney creek today all the way to the main lake point on right and left coming out of Chaney,From 3 to bout 15 feet. Fished a jig 95% of the time, trap 5%. Yesterday I fished in lil mustang till bout 11. (had to go buy new trolling battery's), caught 1 on trap bout 3 pounds. Fork was rough on me this weekend.

I fish Chaney a lot when I'm on that lake. I'd be running square bills amongst the stumps near Secret Haven and Chaney Point RV. Might have some shad pushed back up in the creek, and there will be fresh water with the small arms getting runoff.

Hang in there. For me this time of year when I find them there are usually a few wadded up together. You can go for hours just covering water then get in a little flurry. Don't give up as Fork can be cruel but its worth it when you start to get the lake down a bit.

Fork can do that to you this time of year....don't get down...slow down..try a fluke or a wacky senko.
