Mark is great guide and friend . Saturday we had good day and all the fish were good quality. This week should be really good with this warm weather. Everybody please go to Falcon this spring don't worry about Fork. Falcon is the bomb. I had good time fishing with this guy. Everytime I fish with him I feel like i'm one pitch away from a dd. Last year 4 trips with Packman= 3 DD fish. You do the math . This guy can flat out fish and knows the lake like back of his hand. You guys have good week down at Falcon
That's impressive.
I have a question maybe some can answer.
When the Bob Sealy brings his tournament to the lake, and Legends, and others, we always have quite a good number of 24+ inch fish brought to the scales.(in one of Bob's tournaments in recent memory, there were 37 over, but only 2 were in excess of 10 lbs.)
I know time of year plays a role, but if most 10 lbers are under 24 inches, then why don't the over 24 weigh more?
I've done the math, and after 28 years, I've only caught 80 some-odd double digit fish, and for 11 years,(during the peak of Fork's phenomena), I was fishing 300 days a year.
In the course of these 28 years and 80 double-digit fish, 4 have been over 13 lbs.
Am I not a very good big-fish fisherman, and just extremely lucky on giants or what, because the math I use doesn't make sense.
