I am looking to get out and bass fish on Tuesday and trying to decide which one to fish. I have not seen much written for either lake as of late. Anyone have any thoughts? Has anyone been out to either lake lately? Both are about the same drive for me so that's not an issue. Winds are listed as around 12 mph and air temps are a few degrees warmer at choke but will not affect water temps. Appreciate any input. Thanks.

If you want a shot at catching a fish, you'd be wise to avoid Choke. Read the reports on it.

Where did you go and how did you do? Been wanting to possibly try Bastrop. Choke seems to be sloooow!.

Bastrop has been realy slow. We had a kayak tourney out there last weekend and out of 60 people only 5 caught limits. Well let me rephrase. 5 caught fish big enough to score. I got big bass honors with a 4-5lb 21" fish and lost another the same size first thing in the morning.
