They are offering $14,460 per passenger to avoid legal action. rolfmao I've never been the sue happy type of person but I even think this is a joke! Those passengers are going to take costa to the cleaners. The article said two group of lawyers are expecting $164,000 to 1.3 million per passenger.

not sure international bankruptcy laws are the same, but I would suspect they may not be as easy for companies to do that as they are over here.

They can't sue them here in the states. If they go to Italy they have to post a pre-trial bond of 10% of the projected award on top of lawyer's fees. They'd be smart to take the 14k. 100k is a lot to risk.

By the time the Lawyers take 45% -May be better off taking that amount but you know now that I think about it, everyone lost there Possessions and valuables so that does seems a little low. Should be more like 25,000. Now if I been hurt or had to spend a lot of Money to get Home? Then all bets are off and I would take it all the way to court!
