Thank you Jim & Griffin from TFF for the trip today. I had several other guides saying it was terrible before I got on the water. So I was a little concerned about how the trip would be. We left out about 11:30 today. Headed back where I got them yesterday. First few minutes we got three. Then they left never to return. We pulled anchor and looked around some more in the river channel between Mill Creek and Highport. Seen a few and started a drift. Think we may have got one or two. Decided to head out to the open water in front of Big Mineral. Never made it to Mill Creek. Came across some and started another drift and it was good. We ended the day with 20 to the boat. We missed a lot. Cleaned 10 and tossed 10 overs back. It was going to be a catch and release trip but they decided they looked too tasty. All were caught in 40+ ft of water. all but one on deadsticks. We only tried bait a couple of times. Toughest day I have seen in over two months but they said it was the best fishing trip they have had so thats all that matters.

I made a good snap decision this morning when I called Jon up to fish today. He was right on time, and got us on the fish quickly. I heard countless guides complaining over the radio about not catching fish, and here we were marking them, and catching them with our limited experience. Not only did I catch fish, but Jon answered all of my questions, and I think I might know enough now to catch a few on my own. He was great, and I will recommend him with great confidence. Call the man, it is money and time well spent.
