lake is looking good, REAL GOOD, it's really muddy right now, all of the exposed trees and gravel at Woodway Park are under water so i am guessing it's back to normal pool or pretty close to it. I went to the spillway to see if they were letting any water out & they aren't.

Lots of trash in the water. Go slow. Lake should be full tomorrow.

I need to run the boat. Havent been able to get out for the past few weeks and I'm in Waco till Monday. So I'm going to head over and run it. I'll be sure and dodge all the drift wood (or at least I'm going to try to). I'll let you know how the lake looks. I'll drop the jig a few times as well. Miss fishing this lake. All this water means we will have a great spring and summer of fishing!

Went out today to Waco. Water was very very dirty but despite the "chocolate milk" water I was able to catch some crappie. Didn't catch a lot of keepers. I found one brush pile loaded with 5-6" fish. Got 4 over a pound with another that was 1.7. Not bad for how much the water has risen. Lots of drift wood in the water. The cove by the dam were the small bridge is located is full of debris. You can't get anywhere close to it.

Caught all my fish on brush piles in 16-18 feet of water.

Here are some pictures I took with my phone while out on the water of a few of the fish.

First fish of the day...a whopping 6"

First keeper of the day

Biggest fish of the day

All the trees/debris in the cove under the Lake Shore Dr. bridge

All in all a pretty good day considering! Headed back to Tomball in the morning after being here for the weekend. Probably wont get back to Lake Waco until Spring Break in March. Yall keep the reports coming because I'll need something to read while I'm spending my free time down at the coast until I can get back here! Hope the spawn is great fishing for everyone this spring!

Rbadley, thanks for the pic of the lake side of the Lake Shore Bridge. It looks just as bad from the bridge. I drove over it a few hours ago.
