P.E class. Coach Payne. We would play Basketball pick-up games in the gym and all the other coaches didnt care but if Payne caught you he would take the basketball and it was gone forever. Had another coach in junior High that I cant remember his name but he would walked around all day with a Paddle just looking for a reason to hit somebody.

Mr. Epperson, 6th or 7th grade gym teacher. We called him Epperduck! T-man might remember him also.
In college I had two really bad professors. One at Tech taught math, and I literally could not understand a friggin word the man said. He had a really bad Middle Eastern accent and garbled his words. Dropped the class eventually. The other was an Economics professor at SMU. He smoked in class, which was annoying, and he was simply an arrogant arsehole to deal with.
In law school, I had a professor named Dodge for wills and estates. It was a waste of time to go to class because he got off on tangents that had nothing to do with the class. There was a saying that you needed to dodge Dodge! Ended up with a B simply studing bar exam outlines for the subject!

correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the gym where basketball games are supposed to be played? We had a open Campus. We would play during PE class. The class would be outside running track or playing something and we would be playing Basketball in the Gym. Had one coach who would come play with us once in awhile and always would laugh at us cause he knew it was just a matter of time before that ball was a goner

Poor Ms. Crawford, 4th grade, was an old, bitter, single woman who could not find joy in life if it slapped her in the face. It was a long year. I think if she ever would have smiled, it would have scared the devil out of all of us in her class. A smile would not be a good thing.

Ms. Gann was my algebra 2 teacher in 10th grade. She was the worst teacher I ever had. I could not stand her. I am very good at math and had always made grades in the mid 90's or higher. I barely passed her class.
I can still remember the look on her face the day I got my SAT scores. I made a 740 on the math section. She saw it and asked me in front of the entire class how I could make such high grade on the SAT and do so poorly in her class. I replied "because the my teacher sucks." I got sent to the office and the vice principal laughed out loud when I told him what happened. I didn't get in trouble.

Mrs Abramson. Jr year in high school.
Hot English teacher with an attitude. Great legs...and she placed all of us horny young boys on the front row, then she'd sit on the front of her desk wearing those dark hose with garters, giving us a near peek....and just about the time we were enthralled with the show, she'd ask us a question and embarrass us.
It was like...." Huh ?"

This is the craziest thing I ever read. A friend of mine name of Zearl took up for me some and I too had polio and wore leg braces. One day I called Zearl a liar and of course I was joking but the ahole teacher which was a big man came and jerked me up from my desk and was trying to push me to the corner but he pushed to hard and down I went. Well I came up fighting and ended up just going home. When we all got to the principals office Zearl told them I didn't call him a liar and the teacher got in trouble. My Mom woudn't let my Dad go get the dude but I think he snuck around and did. This was in the sixth grade. Funny how things are alike sometimes.

I also had a 5th grade teacher named Petit and she hated my azz and I really couldn't blame her because I was a little turd. One day she got so mad she grabbed my desk and started shaking it. She said I pulled the desk (that was two desk in front of me) backwards. Well I tried to explain to her how I couldn't have pulled that desk but I also throwed in the fact she wasn't very smart. Lord she was mad.

I had an Instructor Pilot in the Undergraduate Pilot Training who was the ultimate screamer. This guy was convinced that the way to teach was to yell incessantly at the student. After a month with this guy I became convinced that my first name was G*ddammit because that was how I was addressed all day every day.
(A bad teacher is one thing. A bad IP is something altogether different. You are with them one on one for hours at a time. It's not as if the attention is share. He is there to remind you of each and every shortcoming. Questions asked are directed at you and you alone)
Eventually it dawned on me that I was passing all my rides. My classmates were not.
There were 105 when we started. Only 60 of us graduated.
I will say this...the guy made me a better instructor. I try to do the opposite of what he did.

I dont relate to screamers very well anymore. It's a sure way to get me to walk away ( if you're a female) or bust your lip, if male. If one cant express their displeasure with me without raising their voice, then I tune them out and let them know why.

As a young butter bar in Uncle Sam's Air Farce, walking away was a one way ticket to Vietnam. From what I was lead to belive, those rice patties were not air conditioned.

My first grade teacher, Mrs. Richardson was an absolute biotch.
I'm surprised she didn't cause brain damage to a few kids she nearly shook to death. I saw her shake one boy so hard the change in his pockets went flying.
My little sister had her the year after me. Do any of you remember the Christmas gift exchange kids used to do? Back in the early 70's each kid drew a name out of bag. You wer to get that kid a gift. We were poor at the time and my sister Jeannette decided to make a gift for the child she drew a name for. Even in the first grade she was talented and she put a lot of thought and effort into that gift. When the child opened the gift from my sister it was obvious she didn't appreciate what my sister had given her. Mrs. Richardson took the gift my sister had received and gave it to the other little girl, and handed my little sister back her gift and told her it wasn't good enough. Horrible woman!
Years later I was working in a gas station and this lady rolls in and hands me an Exxon credit card with the name Richardson on it. She looked an awful lot like my old first grade teacher. I non chalantly asked her if she ever taught first grade and St. Agnes and she said no. All I can say is that old lady had the right anwser that day.
I was ready to go to jail at the tender age of 16 just for beatin the heck out of that old woman. Thank you God, for not putting her in front of me that day!
I always respected my elders, but never could find any for that old woman.

I got dent to the principals office one day for reading a magazine in class.. I was sitting in his office when the bell for class to start rang and he asked me what I was there for. You guessed right if you think I got in trouble for reading BETWEEN classes!!
I believe that wretched old lady was the poster child for reverse discrimination!!!
Can't remember her name and that is a good thing!!!

7th and 8th grade english teacher. She was from way up north somewhere and always chewed us out when we said ain`t. I got tired of it one day because it was always a battle between the students and her, so I spoke up and said "Look, I don`t know where you come from, but here in Texas we say ain`t like it or leave it." That got me a trip to the Principals office. lol...

Wow, some of these teachers should have been thrown in jail. Since the 70's teachers, therapists, doctors, and anyone who works with children and see abuse are mandated by law to report it to DHS. Some of these teachers should have reported themselves or at the very least their fellow teachers or the school guidance counselor should have reported them.

My Calculus 2 teacher in college must have had a bionic arm. He could write on the chalkboard so fast that nobody could take notes before he erased what he wrote. I finally gave up on taking notes and taught myself from the textbook during class and my test scores went up.

3rd grade teacher, Mrs. James. I had moved to a new school in the Metroplex from one down in San Antonio that was an open-concept school. Mrs. James actually told my parents at meet the teacher night that she didn't like getting students from these schools, and the tone was set. I was a good student who stayed out of trouble, but she consistently found reasons to punish me for minor infractions, usually because I was finished with my work and bored. Fortunately, my principal was a kind, wise man, and he recognized things for what they were. I absolutely feared that lady. Fortunately, she took her bag to Oklahoma the next year, so no more kids in my school had to endure her method of teaching.
