Just wanted to put up a quick report. I posted some pictures in the bass fishing section but did not post a report. I was very tired from being blown around the last couple of days. Here we go. If you are headed to Fork in the near future the best bite going is flipping jigs at big hard woods along drop offs on the creeks/ditches. I have found the bite to be better in stained water than in clearer water. Our best depths have been 3-8 ft. Sometimes if the creek is 8 ft and the banks are 4 ft this will work,or if the creek is 12 ft and the banks are 6 ft it will be game on. What you need to do is locate any creek that is loaded with big hard woods and follow it hitting every tree till you get a bite then tie up and work the area. The fish seem to be in good size groups in a small area or on just about every other tree in a short stretch. Work the bait very slow with long pauses and stay about 12-14 inches away from the tree. Try not to drag it,just shake it like a shaky head then stop.I have tried other colors but the one working the best for me is my 3/8 oz Viper XP Jig in a Purple Passion. You can check these out on my website at www.viperxplures.com. I hope this report helps you if you are headed to Lake Fork anytime soon. In fact this pattern should work for a month or two. Good Luck and If I can help just let me know ? I have a few days open and would like to be your guide on Lake Fork.
Thanks
