When I worked as a delivery guy for a medical equip store I had a big dodge van, always kept a pole and a tackle box in there.

I'm in a country band, and we travel all across the lower us states, I keep my rig in the van with a small lure bag! There's nothing like fishing new waters

Not only do I typically have one in my truck, I almost always pack one in my suitcase when I travel on business. Means I always have to "check bags" but many times, its been worth it. Its a fairly cheap Shakespeare Spinning outfit (telescoping rod, reel in a plastic travel case that has enough storage for miscellaneous "all occasion" tackle/lures.

I've got 3 "cheap" setups in my truck at all times (well, one Mettle/F&S IM-7 setup that's pretty nice but bought clearance for super cheap, and then 2 "$11.88" clearance spinning rigs.
That plus a "BASS subscriber" tackle box with a couple of 3600 boxes of odds and ends. Fish several days a week at lunch, and have been catching a lot of 3-4s lately.
