As directed by TxGrizzly T.O.O. is posting the revised, revised details of the second annual TxGrizzly Deep Drop Derby Charter aka TxG3DII Charter.
The revised charter is scheduled for Saturday-Sunday August 4th-5thth, 2012 on the Scat Cat out of Fisherman's Wharf in Port Aransas, Texas.

Please note that the cost is based on no fuel surcharge, however predictions for very high fuel costs have been made for later in 2012 and it may be necessary for F.W. to adjust the charter cost if diesel does rise beyond reasonable to absorb by them.
We hope that won't be the case but we want folks to be aware of the concern from F.W. and T.O.O. of this matter.



Revised TxG3DII charter details
2nd Annual TxGriz Deep Drop Derby, (TxG3DII)
Boat: Scat Cat
Dock: Fisherman's Wharf
Location: Port Aransas, Texas
Dates: Saturday-Sunday, August 4th-5th, 2012
Charter Length: 36 hours
Cost: $390 per person* (see below)
Required Number of Fishermen:23-24
Departure Time: 6am
Return Time: 6pm
Targeted fishing: Deep drop for Amberjack and other snapper other than Red Snapper, Grouper species, stopping at deep water shrimp boats, night time fishing options of jigging for Blackfin Tuna, or other techniques to be determined by the group and captain as trip conditions are presented.
Trolling & other fishing techniques on the way out and back for Tuna, ling, Dorado, Wahoo, etc, to be determined by the group and the captain.
*Cost note: If fuel prices do skyrocket, F.W. may have to raise the cost of the charter to absorb that cost. If this issue was to arise, T.O.O. will make every effort to communicate the notice ASAP. It would be good economics to plan for an additional $20-$30 just in case.

Security deposit: $40 due February 17th, 2012
Full Deposit: $150 due March 30th, 2012
Final Balance: $200 due July 27th, 2012

As with the 2011 TxG3D charter, you need to do the following:
1. Post up your intent to join the TxG3DII Charter.
2. Email T.O.O. at too@outdoorstexas.com your intent to join TxG3DII. Please give us your name and contact number if we do not have it.
3. Send/pay the correct amount by the due dates.

We tried to make the payment plan as painless as possible but with this latest charter date plan change charter deposits are a bit more compressed.
We’ll need a security deposit to confirm that TxG3D will occur within a few weeks, then full deposits and final payments in March and August.
As with TxG3D, TxGrizz has final say on all charter matters. T.O.O. will be responsible for book keeping, assimilating and distributing information, and answering to TxGrizz.
We’ll be the contact point for the charter details and information and we’ll also be available to assist in any concerns folks might have regarding the charter.
So with all the above; post up your commitment to the TxG3DII Charter for Saturday-Sunday August 4th-5th, 2012 on the Scat Cat and email us your commitment, and get the security deposit in and you’ll be set until March 30th 2012.

Since I moved to the second date for the tuna trip, I have to take an extra day off work for that one. This trip falls on the weekend I have to work Sat night also so it would be taking another day off so I am gonna skip on this one! Hope its a great trip.

Well, I made last years trip but at the present time I don't know if I can make the second trip or not and it will be 2-3 months before I will know. If I can and there is a spot I sure want to. Now here is some info for you die hards that get to fish the big water a lot more than I do. I don't know the price of some of your terminal tackle but there is a place in Jonesville, La. that handles a lot of the stuff that I saw used on last years trip such as circle hooks, swivels, egg sinkers and etc. Grizz, they even have shark hooks!!!! Plus if you have a potential major leaguer baseball youngster, they have batting cages, pitching cages also.
