Well, we got the report (at least part of it) on Uncle Doye. The spot on his right lung has grown to just a little over 1 centimeter. Due to it growing, they did not do the chemo today. He will be going to see another doctor this afternoon and then back to the surgeon on Monday. He's possibly facing another surgery, this time on the right lung. No word yet on his aneurysm. Prayers are appreciated.

I understand, Brian, but he's got the chief of every department handling his case. He trusts his doctors, and after my initial meeting with his surgeon, I have come to trust/like him. He's not nearly the jackwagon he came off as after the surgery.

Well, my mom just called. Doye has an appointment to have a test done to check the capacity of his lungs on Monday. Then, that same day, he will go see the surgeon and cardiologist. They are going to move up the MRI on his brain to next week (from later next month). If what they saw on his brain MRI last time has grown (they still aren't sure what it was), then they will not do surgery, but instead proceed with chemo and radiation. He is having a rough time of it and the waiting/not knowing is driving him nuts. He has been doing very well with his recovery from the partial lung removal, but he's taking this news very hard. His aneurysm has grown from a 4.8 to a 4.9 (so not as bad as it could be).

How is your mother holding up? Is she taking care of herself? She is doing well. Her leg/foot are fine now. She was obviously taken aback by today's news, but otherwise she is fine. Thanks for asking.

Uncle Doye will have an MRI of his brain tomorrow around 8:45 a.m. If the scan shows whatever the 'spot' on his brain was has not grown, or prayerfully has gone away, then he will undergo surgery on Thursday morning. Thursday's surgery will be to extract the growth on his right lung. We are praying there is no spot on his brain and that what was shown on the last MRI was from a head injury suffered shortly before the scan (we're both a bit accident prone).
