Oh god, not that again.

Okay, if light behaves as a particle as it crosses the vacuum of space, but as a wave while passing through a prisim, what does that say about the nature of the universe? If there are multiple dimensions stacked on this one as is suggested in string theory, then does that leave space for the existence of God?

Is God simply on the other side of this brane of existence? Is that what happens to the spark that is life once it dies?

You would never reach the speed of light as time relative to you slows down as you approach it. Also, turning on the headlights, and measuring the speed of the light coming off them will always equal 186000 miles a second... not + whatever speed you're going.

I was gonna say that the lights would get riled up over your messing with them and in all likelihood slash you to ribbons or worse but your answer is better. frown

Wouldn't they still shine? You just wouldn't be able to see them from the front.

If you could throw a baseball all the way around the world, is there an angle you can throw it so it doesn't come right back to you once it goes around? Say you're facing due north and you throw it NE, will it come back around and hit you?

It would take a lot of angel dust, but yes.

Two mannequins-1 and 2-will be dressed for display in outfits chosen from ten articles of clothing. Each article is in exactly one of three colors: navy, red, or yellow. There are three hats-one in each color; three jackets-one in each color; three skirts-one in each color, and one red tie. Each mannequin wears exactly one of the hats, one of the jackets, and one of the skirts. Furthermore, their outfits must meet the following restrictions:

1. Neither manequin wears all three colors.
2. Each mannequin wears a hat in a different color from the jacket it wears.
3. Mannequin 2 wears the navy skirt.
4. Mannequin 1 wears the tie.

Therefore, if mannequin 2 wears the red jacket, then what color skirt must Derek wear?
