Been cooped up and working to much and ready to get started after some slabs. I was wondering how the recent rains around Bridgeport was gonna affect lake level and the bite. I haven't seen any reports on the forumn any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Should bring the lake levels up. Hopefully can get the creeks with the warmer weather hanging around right now.

I tried to get up in beans creek this past Saturday in my cc.....and i probably could have if i didn't mind running a mile with the motor trimmed all the way up. Bridgeport is still probably 9-10' low. It was 12' low on Saturday. With this much new water running into the lake, i would guess that the creek bite is very slow if at all! All that being said i did do well under boat docks in 20-25'. Caught the most fish on minnows but the biggest fish came on the jigs. Limetruse worked well so did baby bass patterns. But that was before all the rain!!!

Brush piles are holding big fish in 20 ' of water. They were biting large sand bass finese jigs and bass assassins held still.

Just curious, where is the best place to launch that would be closest to good crappie holes....Wise County Park?

Wise county would be a good place to launch. Its close to both of the main creeks and the trinity river. And you can buy minnows from the little old lady on the corner.
