That is DW's home lake. I've fished it a few times and did well. Have a friend that has a boat house there and have caught some nice fish off of it. I'm sure it is out of the water now though.

Thanks Dave, Looking for another deployment so I can re-enlist tax free. If I get it we are wanting to buy some land, obviously I would love to buy around Waco, but East seems to be cheaper.

How did Granger do after yesterday? Waco is only down a foot and a half now

Granger came up almost a foot. Hope to get out there this weekend.

Limestone is good crappie lake, but in the middle of nowhere. Very little fishing pressure. Been practically dried up for the past 18 months though. Contracts down river with power plants are keeping it sucked dry and gates open. Probably can buy cheap down there these days, but may never stay at full pool level again...not for extended periods anyway.
I considered it my home lake for a number of years, but haven't been able to even get a boat in this past year. Rains the past two days may have brought it up a bunch, but like I said...it will probably be short lived.

Thanks Slab, the rains didnt bring it up to much but it is still only 6 feet and some change low. That doesnt seem to bad.

Just checked the lake levels. Right now Waco is only .56 feet low, Granger is -3.81, Belton is -11.37, and Limestone is -6.24. I sure would love to see another 6' in Belton.

That may not seem too bad on most lakes, but Limestone is really dangerous at that level. LOTS of broken off timber in that lake.
