Mariner is going to have some demo kayak for sale this Saturday and they have a 2011 Ride that is new that I'm sure you could get a deal on. The money you save you could get a pdf and paddle

Im still planning on heading to the DFW area Saturday ( if work allows) and i think i will swing buy Mariner Sails but im out on the 2011 ride I want at least a 500lb weight capacity.

Fedora, you are right about the MSRP on both. There are plenty of other options for starting out budgets.

When you want that much capacity it starts to "limit" your options:
Malibu: Xfactor, Stealth 14, and Extreme
Cobra: Fish-n-Dive and Marauder
Ocean Kayak: Prowler 15 and Prowler Big Game
FeelFree Kayak: Moken 12 and 13 Angler Editions (I like the looks of these boats)
NuCanoe: 12 or Fronteir
Native: Ultimate 16
Hobie: Mirage Inflatables, Pro Angler (that's it other than tandem rigs)
Wilderness Systems: Commander 14, 2012 Rides 115 and 135,
Then there are boats like Diablo's Adios and Chupacabra, KC Kayaks, etc.

well docent look like ill be looking at any kayaks this week end since i get to go to work tomorrow!!!! YAY I love working in the oil field they are the best about F***ing you!!
