no matter weather conditions on these 2 lakes i have never had bad days. these 2 lakes are so great there are always fish biting. havent been out there in about a year due to school but you should have no problem finding fish. good luck when you go!

Haven't been it over a month but Iv had a few friends go down to Falcon last week and they tell me that the fishing is a little on the slow side. But I'm sure you can still catch them on ether lake. I'd let the weather tell me where to go the days before.

I fished Amistad 3 or 4 times last year and it seemed pretty slow, but there are people there still catching them. Falcon is one of the hottest lakes in the world right now. Your odds of catching better quality fish sounds like they are pretty good at Falcon. I love these Amistad though. Just have a sour taste in my mouth from last year about it currently.

Can't go wrong on either lake... I'll be there this weekend... Start deep and move shallow, you will find them... points, channel ledges, etc. look for the dormant hydrilla. they are still there.

Amistad is starting to come alive. After next week they should start in the shallows. This week caught good numbers when the temps warmed up. Main lake 57-58 deg.
