This is my hero below she still lives by herself and shot deer and cleaned them into here mid 80's.. We did many fishing and hunting trips and she could out shoot and out fish most men.. She used to hunt and fish to eat.. It is sad how alot of people forget how good we have it..She turned 101 this last Saturday..

That is great. They are a very special treasure. I lost mine about a month and a half a go at 104.

Grandmas are awesome, what a life. Tell her happy birthday. I lost my grandma in 1999, she was 99 years old when she passed and except for the last three years had lived alone from the age of 78 when grandpa passed.
They built Grannies tough back in those days. Love to hear them tell the stories about the early days. Times were tough but they were for most everyone and the grandmas and grandpas were tougher for sure.

My Lord! RED, I wish I had done the same with my Grandmas. You will cherish those videos, as will many generations after you, for a very long time. Thank you so much for sharing.

One of my greatest pleasures in life is visiting with my elders. It doesn't require much more than a simple question, good eyes and better ears. The wealth of knowledge and desire to share is incredible in those who paved the way for US!
